    Start the day exploring the southern part of Mauritius, visit Floreal, a local handicrafts factory famous for handcrafted ship models. As we go through Curepipe city, we arrive at Trouaux Cerfs, a dormant volcano for over 700,000 years, to admire the caldera and the three highest peaks of Mauritius with its 360° view.
     
    Then, drive deeper into the mountains to the sacred crater lake of Grand Bassin, where you can immerse yourself in Hindu and Tamil culture. On the way to Chamarel, you pass through Black River Gorges National Park. Then, visit the viewpoints at Alexander Falls and have a taste the authentic rums at Rhumerie de Chamarel, a scenic, eco-friendly distillery. Finally, discover the Seven Coloured Earth (Chamarel), a unique geological formation with naturally colored sand dunes in shades of red, brown, purple, and blue.
