    The historically significant samurai residences in Kakunodate, Japan, showcase the architecture and lifestyle of the Edo period.
     
    Lake Tazawa
    Known for its seasonal beauty, with cherry blossoms in spring and fiery red foliage in autumn. Perched on prominent rocks by Lake Tazawa, the Ukiki Shrine appears to hover above the water from a distance.
     
    Dakigaeri Valley 
    Its beautiful and mysterious azure mountain streams, is also known for its fresh greenery and autumnal foliage.

    Kakunodate is one of the top spot for cherry blossoms in Mutsu, with weeping cherry trees near samurai homes. Somei Yoshino tunnel marks Emperor Akihito's birth.

    One of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the most famous attraction in Hiraizumi. The Konjikido Golden Hall apart from the roof is covered with gold leaf both inside and out is also located here.

    A half-carved marvel of marble rock formed by sea erosion, boasting the rugged beauty of the male nature coastline.

    Zuiganji Temple
    The official name of Zuiganji is "Matsushima Seiryuzan Zuigan Enfukuzenji". The existing main hall, Onari entrance, warehouse and corridor are designated as national treasures. Zuiganji has multiple styles of architecture, considered to be a multi-cultural work of art.
     
    Godaido Hall
    A small temple hall built on the coast of Matsushima which is connected to the mainland by a short wooden pedestrian bridge. Due to its prominent location, it has become a symbol of Matsushima.
     
    Matsushima Cruise*
    Enjoy a boat cruise around Matsushima, famous for its tranquil and picturesque bay with 260 tiny islands. Ranked as Japan's top three scenic views for centuries.
     
    Ichibancho Street
    This district is famous among the citizens of Sendai. Izakaya (Japanese pub), coffee shops, fruits stores are available here.

    It's a crater lake encircled by three mountains: Kattadake, Kumanodake, and Goshikidake. Locally known as "Goshikinuma" (the Five-Colored Pond), its water changes hues from dark green to blue with sunlight. With a circumference of about 1km, diameter of around 325m, and water depth of approximately 27.6m, it's a significant springtime attraction. (Subject to
    weather conditions; this itinerary shall be forgone in the event of unforeseen circumstances.)

    Take a cable car to the top of Mount Zao to admire the beautiful scenery. From December to March, catch Japan's mustsee natural wonder – the "Snow Monsters" of Mount Zao!     Visit a hot spring town located along the Ginzan river. Enjoy strolling through one of Japan’s prettiest onsen town lined with three and four storey wooden inns. This place was featured in NHK’s TV series “Oshin”.
